This pair of earrings was made using bronze wire, glass beads, and small gold plated brass beads, to emulate a pair of earrings found in Pompeii.
The earrings measure about 1 inch long and about 7/8 of an inch wide, and the earwire is 20 gauge.
These were made using solid, untreated bronze, which will develop a patina with age and wear, but may react with some people or environments and change color more rapidly. It is a lovely metal, and historically accurate, but a little temperamental. (These are replicas, not antiquities.)
