These earrings are based on an odd little Romano-Egyptian earring in the Louvre (AF 2477), dated 30 BCE-395 CE.
These are made from solid, untreated bronze wire. The earwire portion is made using 20 gauge wire, and they hand about 1 3/4 inches long. The hoop portion is about 15/16 inch across.
The metal will develop a patina with age and wear, and may react with some people and environments.
