Orders, Sales Tax, and VAT
US and Canada
Prices are in USD.
Sales tax is collected from buyers in Virginia and remitted for the state of Virginia, at the 5.3% rate.
All other buyers are responsible for reporting and remitting their own taxes.
Other International Orders
For international orders, besides Canada, please place your order in the Elegantly Eccentric Designs, LLC Etsy shop (button below). Not all destinations are possible due to assorted regulations and restrictions.
Orders will never be marked as gifts for customs purposes.
Shipping
Processing Time
Most orders ship in 1-3 business days*.
Custom orders may take a few days longer, or more, depending on the scope of work.
*If there is an exception to this, it will be noted at the top of the Shop page. Orders placed during the specified time period will ship according to the schedule in the message.
The shop will be closed for the first two weeks of August, annually. Orders placed during this time will ship the weekday following August 15th.
Carrier
USPS and/or Asendia
Domestic US shipping starts at $6.50 (USD).
Shipping to Canada starts at $11.50 (USD).
All orders come with tracking.
“Interesting Times” Disclaimer
Once in the hands of the carrier, your package may experience delays due to weather, disease, postal changes, or other calamities. In the past year, this has been as long as 6 weeks domestically and 8 weeks internationally.
Things haven’t been this bad so far in 2023, but please do try to place your order at least 2 weeks before your event for domestic, and 4 weeks for Canada for best results, and at least 4 weeks for either, for solid hope of pre-Christmas delivery.
Other International
Please place your order via Etsy (button above) to ensure that all required import taxes are paid and reported properly.
Returns
Return Policy
Returns due to manufacturing defect or shipping damage will be refunded in full. All other returns will result in a refund of only the item price, minus initial shipping costs. The buyer is responsible for return shipping. If a prepaid label is provided, its cost will be deducted from the total refund.
In addition, returned items must be in their original, unworn condition in order to receive a full refund of the item’s purchase price.
Missing Packages or Goods Damaged in Shipping
Please notify us as soon as possible, preferably 1-2 days, a maximum of 7 days of receipt of the item, and include photos of the item(s) and packaging when contacting us- this helps improve packaging and win arguments with the post office. In most cases, replacements can be provided, or repairs done at no cost to the customer. If neither is possible, a full refund, including shipping costs, will be given.
30 Days to Return
Returns must be made within 30 days of receipt.
Returns and Exchanges
No exchanges.
We believe in the right to repair.
Sometimes a bead breaks or a lever-back earring pops its spring.
Any piece made by Elegantly Eccentric Designs, LLC, can be sent back for repairs or replacement parts, at cost, indefinitely.
This does not apply to vintage or museum-made pieces (though still email me, I may be able to help if I can get the right materials).

Privacy Policy
Elegantly Eccentric Designs, LLC uses customer data to process and communicate about orders (example: emailing receipts and tracking information), retaining it long enough to complete business successfully. That’s it.
The websites used to facilitate this business- SquareSpace, PayPal, Stripe, and Pirate Ship all have their own policies.
General Disclaimers
Jewelry is for persons over the age of 14, and is not intended for wear or use by children.
In addition, some metals react with certain people, or people may be allergic to that particular metal, and this may come as an unwelcome surprise since some, like bronze, are uncommon in modern costume jewelry. If something bothers your skin or turns you green, please contact us for tips, tricks, or returns- it’s something that sometimes happens, and we stock alternate, hypoallergenic options for many designs that can be used on request.
Some vintage components may contain materials considered to be harmful by the State of California, but suppliers are woefully irregular in reporting this, so please handle any vintage elements with care.
