Bronze and Semi-Round Pearl Beaded Chain

This necklace is based on ancient Roman jewelry of the first few centuries CE. It was crafted using bronze wire and white semi-round cultured freshwater pearls. The clasp is a hook and eye, based on the style found on the ancient necklaces which inspired this piece.
This chain measures approximately 19 3/8” in length, and the pearls are 9mm in diameter and of an overall C grade (there are some lines, dips, and bumps). Additional lengths will be available in the future.
The bronze wire is untreated and uncoated and will develop a patina with age and wear. It polishes to a bright rose gold tone, and settles out to a warm, well, bronze.
