Venus and Cupid (Lorenzo Lotto, 1520s) Earrings
A pair of earrings based on Lorenzo Lotto’s Venus and Cupid (Met 1986.138), dated between the 1520s and 1540s. These were made using gold plated brass lever-back hoops and gold plated brass findings, with Czech glass beads and white cultured freshwater pearls. They measure about 1 5/8” long.
