Romano-Egyptian Blues Delta Hoop Earrings
This pair of earrings is loosely based on an earring in the British Museum (AF.370), tweaked a little to match a lovely Romano-Egyptian mummy’s depicted necklace (Allard Pierson Museum APM00723), and made using 20 gauge bronze wire with Czech glass beads and gold-plated brass beads.
These earrings measure about 1.25 by 1.12 inches. Size varies a little between pairs.
The wire is untreated and will develop a patina with age and wear, and may rapidly shift colors from reacting with person or environment- it’s a bronze thing. Regular polishing is necessary to maintain the bright gold or rose gold color.
