Light Aqua Melon Bead Ancient Roman Style Hoops

$20.00

These earrings are based on a combination of a few different pairs of ancient Roman earrings in the British Museum (picking the best design choices from among the different wire hoop styles), and made using 10mm Czech glass melon beads, which are a lovely light aqua (think slightly darker Coke bottle glass) blue-green, on bronze wire. The bead color looks drastically more or less saturated in different lighting.

These are available on either bronze earwires (historically accurate but reactive- will tarnish or turn green) or stainless steel earwires (nonreactive, sensitive skin friendly), which, in either case are 20 gauge and measure about 7/8” in diameter, or about 1” including the bottom loop. The earrings, in their entirety, measure about 1 5/8” long.

In both styles, the drops are bronze, which is untreated and will patina over time/ need an occasional polish.
