Freshwater Pearl Drop Earrings: Neoclassical Style, Gold Plated.

I finally watched I, Claudius (which is fantastic) and based these off of earrings worn in the series by several of the women, most notably, their extraordinary and devious take on Livia. These earrings are made using gold-plated brass findings and beads and white cultured freshwater pearl beads. The larger pearls are 9-11mm in diameter and not quite perfect or round (most are somewhat oblong/semi-round, some have a flattened side, ridges, etc.), but care is taken to pair them, for their inherent irregularities.

These would also work well for later renaissance through regency and for weddings or evening wear, being of a pretty timeless earring design.

The earwires are lever back hoops- a modern design that is convenient and looks quite like the hoops used in many historical earrings. If you would prefer a different sort of earwire, including clips, please send me a note. I always have options on hand and the only charge for such a change is for the difference in cost of materials.
