Bronze and Blue Glass Double Curve Delta Hoop

Made using 20 gauge bronze or sterling silver wire and opaque blue glass beads, these were based on an extant ancient Roman earring found in Serbia, dated 2nd-3rd century AD, in the collection of the Historical Museum of Serbia. They are part of my new collection of "odd Roman earring designs", notably featuring the extra curve on the other side of the ear when worn. This is a little weird the first few times, but really helps balance the earring and does a good job of keeping it from falling out.

They measure about 1" long and about 1" across.

You may need to bend the back curve a little for comfort and fit- they're not supposed to stab your head!- and upon request, I can make a pair like this without the extra curve for you ("request customization").

The wire is untreated and will develop a patina with age and wear.
